🔥 France Cryptocurrency Kidnapping Cases: 135 Incidents in Two and a Half Years, 75 People Detained
France's Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office (PNACO) reported that since 2023, France has recorded a total of 135 kidnapping or attempted kidnapping cases related to cryptocurrencies. Currently, 12 cases are under investigation, 88 people have been charged, including over 10 minors, with approximately 75 detained. Data shows 18 cases in 2024, 67 in 2025, and 47 from 2026 to date. Prosecutors state that the increase in cases is due to integrated connections, with the rising use of crypto assets being the main reason, which has become a new form of organized crime.
