DOJ Freezes $701M in Crypto Linked to Investment Fraud Operations

The U.S. Department of Justice froze more than $701 million in cryptocurrency tied to investment fraud operations targeting Americans. Authorities also seized a Telegram channel used to recruit job seekers and took down 503 fake crypto investment websites. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia said the funds were restrained through exchange cooperation and formal legal processes.
