Today, on-chain data experienced a hiccup again, and I thought I was about to become the bagholder again… Turns out, many times it’s not “the chain is down,” but the indexer/Subgraph is behind on block chasing, and RPC is rate-limiting you. Clicking refresh is like hurrying food delivery; the more you urge, the slower it gets. Basically, the “latest” you see is already delayed, especially during peak times when everyone is querying together, causing a traffic jam. Recently, we’ve been comparing RWA and US Treasury yields to on-chain returns, and I just want to say: if the on-chain system can even lag on data, the return figures might look smooth but could be quite rough behind the scenes. As for “long-term,” I won’t pretend—if I can survive two weeks without recklessly clicking trade buttons, that’s long enough for me.
