CryptoWorld News reports that, according to The Los Angeles Times, due to Middle Eastern conflicts disrupting global oil supplies, aviation fuel reserves in California have fallen to their lowest point in two and a half years, with only 2.6 million barrels last week, down more than 25% from the peak of over 3.5 million barrels last year. As fuel supplies tighten, ticket prices rise, and airlines are beginning to charge additional baggage fees to offset rising fuel costs. Some routes departing from smaller airports in California have been canceled, and some low-cost carriers are even facing bankruptcy risks.
