Flare and Xaman have just announced an integration that greatly simplifies access to DeFi vaults for those holding XRP. It’s the kind of move that shows how the XRP ecosystem is truly evolving.

Basically, now you can deposit XRP into a managed vault on Flare directly through the Xaman wallet with a single click. No need to switch wallets, manually bridge assets, or deal with multiple tokens. The integration works through a system that automatically manages all cross-chain execution behind the scenes.

The technical scheme behind this involves three layers: the FAssets ( which are representations of XRP on DeFi networks, like FXRP ), the Flare Smart Accounts ( which abstract complexity by keeping control on the XRPL ), and Xaman itself as the interface. It’s well thought out.

Hugo Philion, CEO of Flare, commented that this integration positions the platform as the execution layer for XRPFi, combining asset representation with minimal trust and abstracted cross-chain execution.

The impact of this is interesting: it removes the technical barriers that kept around 2 billion XRP out of the DeFi ecosystem. In other words, more XRP liquidity can now participate in productive strategies.

Xaman users gain access to an XRP vault curated by Upshift, a partner of the Flare ecosystem. This vault (earnXRP) allows minting FXRP, redeeming, and earning yields while managing everything through the wallet interface they already use.

Wietse Wind, founder of Xaman, emphasized that the focus has always been on providing simple and secure tools, and this integration maintains that: users explore new options without losing control of their keys.

It’s an example of how real technical improvements are being integrated instead of just promises. Keep an eye on the development of XRPFi from now on.
