China Software Industry Association: Our country's software business revenue has gradually increased from 8.16 trillion yuan in 2020 to 15.48 trillion yuan in 2025.
The China Software Industry Association released the “2025 China Software Industry Development Outlook Research Report” today (the 21st), showing that our country’s software industry has successfully achieved the development targets of the 14th Five-Year Plan and has a solid foundation to step onto a new stage of development. Data indicates that in the first two months of this year, our country’s software business revenue reached 2.1534 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.7% year-on-year. The total profit of the software industry was 269.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%. Chen Baoguo, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the China Software Industry Association, introduced that our country’s software business revenue has gradually grown from 8.16 trillion yuan in 2020 to 15.48 trillion yuan in 2025, with an average annual growth rate of 13.8%, ranking among the top industries in the national economy. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the scale of China’s software industry is expected to surpass 20 trillion yuan. (CCTV News)
