Spain dismantles pirated comic website, seizes encrypted cold wallets involving 400k euros

Mars Finance News, according to Cointelegraph reports, Spanish local police, in their crackdown on illegal comic distribution platforms, seized two cryptocurrency cold wallets containing approximately 400k euros (about $467k) in assets. The operation was carried out by the Almeria police in Spain, resulting in the arrest of three suspects and the dismantling of what is called the country’s largest Spanish-language pirated comic website. It is reported that the platform has been offering free pirated content since 2014, mainly profiting through advertising, with total revenue exceeding 4 million euros over the past decade. Notably, the involved cold wallets were hidden inside wall-mounted thermometers. Police have not yet disclosed whether they have obtained the relevant private keys or access to the funds.
