Iranian parliament member: Foreign minister's visit to Pakistan does not involve nuclear talks
Chairman of the Iranian Islamic Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Ebrahim Azizi, posted on social media in the early hours of the 25th that Iran’s Foreign Minister, Araghchi, visited Pakistan solely to discuss bilateral relations and was not authorized to handle any matters related to nuclear negotiations. Azizi stated that the nuclear issue remains one of Iran’s red lines. The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bagheri, earlier said that during Araghchi’s visit to Pakistan, he would hold consultations with senior Pakistani officials regarding Pakistan’s efforts to mediate to end the war imposed on Iran by the United States and Israel, and to achieve peace in the region. There are no plans to meet with the U.S. side, and the opinions and considerations of Iran will be conveyed to the U.S. through Pakistan. (Xinhua)
