These two weeks, the hot topics are changing too quickly. I realize that what I am most easily "liquidated" by isn't technology, but attention... As soon as I see "new narrative" or "high returns," I get itchy, but I haven't even chosen the bridge, haven't calculated the gas fees, and have a bunch of authorizations. In the end, the profit might not even cover the transaction fees.
Recently, the staking/sharing security approach has been criticized as a "nested doll," but I think the controversy itself pretty much explains the issue: stacking yields sounds great, but the risks are also compounded, especially across chains. If something goes wrong, you won't even know who to blame. My approach is rather cautious: I run a small amount through the entire process first, mainly checking the bridge's latency, failure rollback, and whether I can turn off contract authorizations; for the hot topics, I actually wait a couple of days before jumping in. Missing out is fine—at least I won't be fueling the traffic. Anyway, surviving longer is more important than rushing in.
