DOJ, CFTC Charge Soldier in Polymarket Insider Trading Case

Federal prosecutors and the CFTC charged U.S. Army soldier Gannon Ken Van Dyke over alleged insider trading on Polymarket, saying he made more than $400,000 in profit. The indictment says Van Dyke used nonpublic details of Operation Absolute Resolve to buy Maduro-related event contracts before President Donald Trump’s public announcement. The CFTC said the case is its first insider-trading action involving event contracts, while Polymarket said it identified the user, referred the matter to DOJ, and cooperated with investigators.
