I tried once, muting the entire group for a week, leaving only two or three trusted protocol update sources (the ones that post change logs).

The most frustrating thing wasn't the KOLs, but a string of "Bro, look at this" and "It's about to take off" in the group...
Honestly, impulsive buyers are only themselves, but the trigger is really the group, with such high information density that you don't have time to think.

At least KOLs should pretend to have some logic; in the group, emotions spread directly.
Recently, the back-and-forth about Layer 2 arguing over TPS, fees, and subsidies has also turned into "taking sides," and then some people get itchy hands and add to their positions.
My current quick fix: when I see hot words, I don't look at the market first, I check whether the protocol has secretly changed fees or parameters, and I screenshot and archive if possible.
If there's no evidence, I just treat it as noise...
That's how I do it for now.
