Australia initiates anti-dumping investigation on some terminated hot-rolled steel coil imports from China

According to the China Trade Remedies Information Network, on April 2, 2026, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2026/042, amending the provisional anti-dumping and countervailing duties determined for hot rolled coil steel imported from China as follows: Given that the anti-subsidy investigation against exporters Baoshan Iron & Steel Co Ltd, Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron & Steel Co Ltd, Shanghai Meishan Iron & Steel Co Ltd, and Hunan Valin Lianyuan Iron & Steel Co Ltd has been discontinued, no provisional countervailing duties are imposed; the provisional anti-dumping duties for the four exporters are as follows: Baoshan Iron & Steel Co Ltd at 104.1%, Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron & Steel Co Ltd at 36.0%, Shanghai Meishan Iron & Steel Co Ltd at 64.6%, and Hunan Valin Lianyuan Iron & Steel Co Ltd at 38.9%; the anti-dumping and countervailing duties for other Chinese exporters remain unchanged at 116.9%.
