ZachXBT: Bitcoin ATM Operator Bitcoin Depot Faces Abnormal Charges and Security Issues

On April 22, ZachXBT revealed that Bitcoin ATM operator Bitcoin Depot has been facing issues related to charges and security. It reported that an elderly fraud victim in the U.S. was allowed to convert $25,000 in fiat currency to Bitcoin through a Bitcoin Depot ATM, with a quoted price of $108,000 per Bitcoin, while the market price at that time was $75,000. Ultimately, the transaction resulted in the victim receiving 0.232 BTC for $25,000. ZachXBT also mentioned that Bitcoin Depot was recently hacked, with 54 BTC (approximately $3.26 million) going undetected for several days.
