Today, reporters learned that the State Administration for Market Regulation recently drafted the “Measures for Food Safety Sampling Inspection and Verification Handling (Draft for Comments),” and is now publicly soliciting opinions. Food safety sampling inspection is an important technical support for food safety regulation, and verification handling is the “latter part” of the sampling work, a key link in achieving sampling efficiency and preventing and resolving food safety risks. The draft for comments clearly defines the responsibilities of various levels of market regulation departments, establishes a tiered and classified verification and handling work mechanism led by the State Administration for Market Regulation coordinating overall, with provincial market regulation departments taking the lead, and city and county levels implementing responsibilities accordingly, building a work system with upward linkage, clear rights and responsibilities, and efficient operation.
