On April 3, the 2026 Space Computing Power Industry Conference was held at the Tongming Lake Exhibition Center in Beijing’s Economic-Technological Development Area. Reporters on the scene learned that the industry’s first space computing power industry collaborative platform, the “Space Computing Power Professional Committee” (hereinafter referred to as the “Committee”), was officially established. The Committee was formed with support from the “Computing Power Industry Development Matrix.” This matrix was established under the leadership of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, focusing on promoting the development of the computing power industry with an emphasis on industry research, application cultivation, collaborative innovation, and international cooperation. At the meeting, Li Jie, Deputy Director of the Cloud Computing Institute of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, said that space computing power is an extension and integration of the ground-based industry into space, and it is a forward-looking move to build a global ubiquitous computing power network, which will strongly support the high-quality development of applications such as artificial intelligence. The establishment of the Committee will enhance the coordination degree between computing power and the aerospace industry chain, and help build an industry ecosystem featuring the integration of all elements.
