🔥The United States demands Tether to freeze over 344 million USDT related to Iran

On April 24th, a U.S. official revealed that the U.S. requested Tether on Thursday to assist in freezing over 344 million USDT, funds linked to Iran. The U.S. government found substantial connections between these funds and the Iranian regime, including confirmed transactions with Iranian trading platforms and interactions with wallets associated with the Central Bank of Iran through intermediary addresses. The move aims to increase economic pressure on Tehran. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the Treasury is sanctioning multiple wallets related to Iran and tracking their fund transfers. Iran's United Nations delegation declined to comment on this matter.
