My uncle smoked for thirty years, and one day he suddenly quit.

I said: "That’s just fear of death, that’s not quitting."
He said: "You don’t understand, I’m not quitting smoking. I’m quitting 'the blood streak in the first spit every morning.'"
I’m quitting 'the guilt of waking my wife up with a cough in the middle of the night.'
I’m quitting 'my daughter saying, Dad, you have bad breath.'
Cigarettes are easy to quit, but these things are hard to give up.
