I used to get itchy whenever I saw a hot topic, thinking "If I don't participate now, I'll miss out." Now I’ve basically learned to put my phone aside first, and wait 24 hours to see if it’s still hot. The cruelest part of the attention economy is making you think you're doing research, when actually you're just being led by your emotions. To put it simply, I set a simple rule for myself: only engage with things I can clearly explain the narrative; if I can't explain it clearly, I just pretend I didn't see it. Recently, someone has been talking about the "recovery" of blockchain games again, but all I can think of is inflation, studios moving bricks, and the picture of coin prices spiraling out of control… Anyway, I’m not in a rush. If I miss it, I miss it. I’d rather be bored than keep paying tuition over and over.
