U.S. Intel stake shows $26.5B unrealized gain after shares jump 22%

The U.S. government is sitting on an unrealized gain of roughly $26.5 billion on its Intel stake after the stock jumped more than 22% in pre-market trading on Friday. The position came from an August deal that converted $8.9 billion in CHIPS Act grants and Secure Enclave funding into 433.3 million shares at $20.47 each.
