While monitoring perpetual data today, I ran into that kind of “stutter” again—the candlestick chart is still running, but the OI/fees seem to go blank in an instant. Later, I thought it was probably not the market suddenly “forgetting,” but the data pipeline just struggling to breathe: the indexer has to slowly scan through on-chain logs, and the Subgraph still needs to finish syncing; on the RPC side, once rate limiting kicks in, queries get queued, and the front end looks exactly like your network is lagging. Put simply, what you’re seeing is “data latency,” not “market truth.”

Recently, aren’t there all sorts of AI Agents that automatically interact on-chain? The narratives fly high, but when it comes to high-frequency data fetching, it becomes painfully real which provider’s interface is stable and whose security is done more carefully. As for whether I trust data more or intuition—I lean toward data, because when I’m watching the charts until my eyes blur, intuition suddenly starts making up stories.
