CryptoWorld News reports that the United Arab Emirates has announced an ambitious two-year roadmap to integrate autonomous artificial intelligence into 50% of government operations. According to local media, the UAE aims to shift half of the public sector, services, and daily processes to autonomous systems. UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, “AI is no longer just a tool; it can analyze, make decisions, execute, and improve in real time, becoming our implementation partner to enhance services, accelerate decision-making, and improve efficiency.” He added that implementation will follow a clear timetable, and government performance will be measured by the speed of adoption, the quality of implementation, and the extent to which AI is mastered in redesigning government work. The government plans to roll out the initiative in phases across ministries and federal agencies, with each phase guided by continuous performance and impact assessments. This phased structure is designed to support the steady expansion of initiatives across departments, and once early deployments show results, the program can be scaled up. Developing local expertise is a key part of the plan; government employees will be trained to enhance their ability in generative AI systems and their real-world applications, ensuring teams can effectively manage and deploy these technologies.
