After I started tracking NFT liquidity, my mindset really changed a bit: I used to just watch the floor price like a scale, happy when it went up, suspicious of life when it went down; now I casually check if the transactions are just a few people boosting each other and if the order book is thick or thin, and when royalties are lowered, people say "good for liquidity," but the community narrative actually becomes colder... To put it simply, money moves quickly, and stories disperse just as fast. Recently, I've been talking about interest rate cut expectations and the US dollar index, and when risk assets are all over the place, NFTs act more like an emotional amplifier: when hot, the floor price skyrockets like a meme, and when cold, even group chats go quiet. I only hold a small position and try it casually, afraid I might get impulsive again, so I’ll leave it at that for now.
