Odaily Planet Daily News: A Pakistani government source says that Iranian Foreign Minister Alaghchi is expected to lead a small delegation to Islamabad on Friday evening, and negotiations with the United States are very likely to take place, causing oil prices to fall rapidly.
Oil brokerage firm PVM’s Tamas Varga stated that although the fundamental background remains favorable, traders are closing long positions ahead of the very unpredictable weekend, and will readjust their positions on Sunday night based on developments in Iran.
Haitong Futures mentioned in a report that if there is no progress in talks by the end of April and fighting resumes, oil prices could rise to a new high this year.
Susanna Stritt, Chief Investment Strategist at UK investment service company Wealth Club, said that due to key transportation routes in the region still being blocked, there will be new economic pain ahead.
This will keep the prices of many commodities at high levels.
