Recently, people have started shouting again about “AI Agent one-click automatic interactions to get airdrops,” and just hearing it makes my scalp tingle… Put simply, the easiest way to get reverse-scammed in airdrops isn’t to skip interaction—it’s to treat your wallet and permissions like disposable chopsticks and use them however you want. The contract doesn’t know you, you grant permissions that are far too broad, you sign without even looking at the signature. In the end, you don’t just miss the airdrop—you directly hand your airdrop to someone else.

My current approach is pretty timid: when I see a new project, I don’t rush in right away. I wait two days to see whether there’s a bunch of the same scripts spamming on-chain. If Gas is flying out of control, I definitely don’t want to be stuck queuing. If I do interact, I do it with small amounts, grant minimal permissions, and revoke the permissions right after use. I’d rather move slowly than be dragged along by “automation.” FOMO is really just a short-lived thing—security disasters are something you’ll remember for a long time.
