The DOJ charged Gannon Ken Van Dyke, a US Army master sergeant, with using classified information to earn more than $404,000 on Polymarket contracts tied to Nicolas Maduro’s removal. The CFTC said Van Dyke wagered about $33,000 across four Venezuela-related contracts in December and January. The CFTC is seeking penalties, disgorgement, and a ban on Van Dyke from trading on regulated markets again.
