Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, April 3 — Iranian Islamic Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani posted on social media, mocking the American fighter jet shot down by Iran.

Larijani stated that after the enemy claimed “defeating Iran 37 times in a row,” this war launched by the United States and Israel, which is “self-righteous but lacks any strategic meaning,” has now downgraded from a plot of “regime change” to “Hey! Who can find our pilots?”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Public Relations Department issued a statement saying that Iran’s air defense system shot down an American F-35 fighter jet in the country’s central airspace on that day. American media reported that Iranian media released a photo of a damaged pilot ejection seat on the ground. Military analysts, based on this, judged that it was an F-15E fighter jet.

According to CNN, U.S. military rescue planes and helicopters entered Iranian territory, and one surviving pilot was rescued and is receiving treatment. The whereabouts of another pilot are unknown, and search and rescue operations are ongoing. (End)
