Recently, I’ve been seeing a bunch of AI Agents claiming to be able to fully automate on-chain interactions. I’m genuinely tempted, but also a bit hesitant… To be honest, being able to automatically click buttons doesn’t mean you can automatically take responsibility. When cross-chain bridges had issues, I became even more clear-headed: paths, authorizations, bridges, contract versions—these, the Agent might run super fast, but in the end, whether to cross the bridge / give unlimited permissions still depends on humans to make the call. And then there are oracles acting up—everyone just “waiting for confirmation” is actually quite useful. When the Agent sees a price difference, it wants to jump in; I’d rather wait two more minutes, anyway, the funding rate won’t suddenly turn gentle just because I’m in a hurry.
What I don’t regret is… always taking a second look at large transfers and authorization records before placing an order. If I mess up, I admit it, but at least I won’t die at the stupidest step.
