China UnionPay releases the Intelligent Agent Payment Open Protocol Framework
On April 2nd, China UnionPay officially released the Agentic Payment Open Protocol (APOP) framework in Shanghai and successfully completed five production system verification transactions. The first batch includes 19 domestic and international institutions as APOP partners, including commercial banks, agentic device manufacturers, technology companies, merchants, and acquiring institutions.
