Japan will establish a special task force to address cybersecurity risks in the financial system

Japanese Finance Minister Katayama Satsuki stated on Friday that, in light of concerns about potential vulnerabilities in Anthropic’s Mythos artificial intelligence model, Japan will establish a special task force to address cybersecurity risks in the financial system. Katayama said this decision was made during a joint meeting of the Financial Services Agency of Japan, the Bank of Japan, the National Cyber Security Agency, Japan’s three major banks, and the Japan Foreign Exchange Group.
