The DOJ arrested a U.S. Army soldier accused of using confidential information to place Polymarket bets ahead of Nicolas Maduro’s capture, and prosecutors said he made about $409,881. Prosecutors said Gannon Ken Van Dyke made 13 bets and spent more than $33,000 on Venezuela and Maduro-related markets. The CFTC filed a parallel complaint, and Van Dyke faces a maximum of 60 years in prison.
