Abstract generation in progress

CryptoNews reports that, according to the news from ChainBian.com, Jane Street has applied to a U.S. court to dismiss an insider trading lawsuit related to the collapse of TerraUSD. In documents submitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the trading firm and several of its employees said that the allegations raised by Terraform Labs’ bankruptcy estate failed to meet legal standards, and requested the case be dismissed to prevent it from being refiled. Jane Street believes the lawsuit is trying to shift responsibility onto it to cover up fraudulent activities in the market committed by Terraform itself. The lawsuit was filed in February by Todd Snyder, a bankruptcy administrator appointed by the court, accusing Jane Street of trading using confidential information before the May 2022 collapse, an event that caused about $40 billion in market value to evaporate and triggered broad impacts across the crypto market.
