China mediates to promote talks on Pakistan-India conflict, Ministry of Foreign Affairs responds to foreign media questions

At the routine press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 3rd, a foreign media reporter asked about the talks held in China between Afghanistan and Pakistan and whether China would provide guarantees to prevent further conflicts between the two countries. Spokesperson Mao Ning stated that China has been mediating and promoting talks in its own way, maintaining close communication with both sides through multiple channels and levels, creating conditions and providing platforms for dialogue. Both Pakistan and Afghanistan value and welcome China’s mediation and are willing to sit down again for negotiations, which is a good thing. The progress of the negotiations is being steadily implemented and advanced. The three parties have reached consensus and agreements on specific operational modes, including news reports. If there are further updates, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will release them in a timely manner. (Huanqiu.com)
