Meta Plans 8,000 Layoffs in May, Halts 6,000 Open Roles

Meta plans to cut about 8,000 jobs, or roughly 10% of its workforce, on May 20. Janelle Gale said the move is meant to improve efficiency and offset rising investment in artificial intelligence.
