Abstract generation in progress

Microsoft plans to build a second, larger data center in LaPorte on 1,200 acres, pending city council approval for annexation. This expansion is expected to generate significant property tax revenue for the city, schools, and county, with project officials addressing concerns about energy, water, noise, and urban sprawl. A public hearing is scheduled for April 21st to discuss the proposal further.
