Late at night, I was browsing on-chain records, and the more I looked, the more it seemed like queuing at a convenience store: you think you're paying in order, but someone tips and cuts in front of you. MEV, to put it simply, isn't about "someone making money and I’m jealous," but rather your order, your swap being front-run or sandwich-attacked, with slippage and costs all on you, and the sense of fairness is gone.

For someone like me who leans toward trend-following, I’m not really afraid of slow moves, but I do worry about being inexplicably hit with an extra spread when trying to buy in batches during a pullback, which can easily mess with your mindset.
Recently, the on-chain games with inflation + studio rushes combined with the spiral of coin prices feel quite similar: the rules look lively, but in the end, the most painful part is still the “queueing cost” for ordinary players and retail investors.
Now I try to avoid chasing on-chain snipes during very crowded times, preferring to wait for a candlestick to finish… for now, that’s it.
