Residents of Wilson, N.Y., are frustrated by the nearly three-month closure of their local Dollar General, which has left many without easy access to groceries and other essentials. The closure, which occurred on February 5 due to building issues that have since been resolved, has made the village a “food desert” as the only other local market has been closed since a fire in January 2025. Dollar General has stated they plan to reopen the store in the coming weeks.
