Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali said at a reception held in Moscow on the 23rd that the United States is not taking the Iran-U.S. negotiations seriously. He also said that Iran has achieved victory in the war imposed by the United States and Israel.

According to Russian media such as TASS, Jalali said that the U.S. and Israel used “all military force” against Iran, but the result was that Iran achieved a “historic victory.” Iran is still committed to resolving the conflict through diplomatic negotiations. The negotiations must be fair and just and be able to establish lasting peace. The U.S. must recognize Iran’s legitimate rights, compensate for losses, and guarantee that no acts of aggression will happen again. On the premise of meeting these conditions, Iran is willing to hold negotiations.

Iran is prepared for both outcomes; regardless of whether the United States wants war or negotiations, it will go along.

Jalali also said that the Iranian side has not seen the U.S. take the Iran-U.S. negotiations seriously, and the unpleasant experiences in the past with negotiations with the United States have made the Iranian side unable to have confidence in the talks now.

Jalali said that military actions by the U.S. and Israel have caused more than 3,000 civilian deaths in Iran, including 220 children and 250 women.

Jalali also mentioned the close connection between the two presidents of Iran and Russia. He said that since the U.S. and Israel launched military actions against Iran, Iranian President Pezeshkian and Russian President Putin have maintained communication.( Xinhua News Agency)
