Baotou Rare Earth Exchange: Today's mainstream rare earth product prices continue to rise
According to Baotou Rare Earth Products Exchange, today the prices of mainstream rare earth products continued to strengthen. The average price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide was 81.54 million yuan per ton, up 1.24 million yuan per ton; the average price of praseodymium-neodymium metal was 99.08 million yuan per ton, up 1.58 million yuan per ton; the average price of dysprosium oxide was 136.85 million yuan per ton, unchanged from yesterday; and the average price of terbium oxide was 607.60 million yuan per ton, up 0.38 million yuan per ton. Today, there were relatively few transaction details for products such as praseodymium oxide, neodymium oxide, europium oxide, lanthanum-cerium oxide, and praseodymium metal in inquiries, so please refer to them cautiously. At present, the praseodymium-neodymium market continues its upward momentum. Sellers’ quotes continue to rise, and metal manufacturers’ inquiries remain active; the upward moves for praseodymium-neodymium oxide are relatively clear. At the same time, however, downstream wait-and-see sentiment has increased, procurement actions have become more cautious, transactions mainly focus on finding low-priced sources, and actual transaction volumes are limited. The prices of medium and heavy rare earths are stable with modest gains, but market activity remains relatively low. Overall, the continuous climb in prices has, to a certain extent, dampened downstream purchasing enthusiasm; however, because current quotes still have some follow-through from actual transactions that provides support, there are no signs that the price trend is turning. It is expected that in the near term, rare earth product prices will remain steadily on the rise.
