I just read something quite shocking... Faruk Fatih Özer, the founder of Thodex, was found dead in a Turkish prison cell in Tekirdag. Authorities are treating it as a suicide.
For those who don't remember, this guy disappeared in 2021 and literally sank the exchange. There were about 400,000 investors involved when everything collapsed. Faruk Fatih Özer was serving a sentence of over 11,000 years for fraud, money laundering, and all that.
It's a pretty dark story, honestly. I don't know what to think... Suicide in prison or is there more behind it? Turkish authorities are investigating, but these cases always leave doubts.
