CryptoWorld News reports that, according to CNN, U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States has “no intention of influencing” Iranian athletes who want to participate in the 2026 U.S.-Canada-Mexico World Cup. The report said Iran is drawn in the same group as New Zealand, Egypt, and Belgium, with two group matches to be held in Los Angeles and the other in Seattle. Despite the obvious complications caused by the war, Iran has said it hopes to take part in this tournament and is studying how to compete safely. U.S. Secretary of State Rubio said the United States has not banned Iran from participating in the event. He also added that all reports claiming Iran would be replaced by Italy are purely speculation.
