Lately, using the mainnet really feels like "wallet is burning," as soon as gas kicks in I instinctively pull back, but a few clicks on L2 and it goes smoothly. To put it simply, my current compromise is: for daily small transactions, I use L2; the mainnet only handles two things—large-scale consolidations/long-term position adjustments, and protocols that must be on the mainnet. Saving money is one aspect, but more importantly, don’t try to save that little gas by jumping back and forth on the mainnet and ruin your mindset.

Recently, hardware wallets have been out of stock, and phishing links are more ridiculous than ever. I prefer to put "frequent signing" in a risk-controlled environment: layered new addresses, a small wallet for common interactions, and keep the cold wallet untouched; when bridging, I’d rather be slow, access links from bookmarks, and avoid clicking on those "look-alike" pages sent in groups... Anyway, getting phished once is no longer just about gas.

Next time, I might fix the list of frequently used L2s and bridges to reduce the chance of accidental clicks. How do you currently divide tasks between mainnet and L2? Is there a combination that’s the most hassle-free to use?
