Odaily Planet Daily reports that US ABC News, citing people familiar with the matter, said that US federal authorities arrested on Thursday a special forces soldier who was involved in the arrest of Venezuelan President Maduro. The soldier is suspected of making more than $400,000 by betting that Maduro would be ousted. Sources say federal investigators believe the commando placed more than $33,000 in bets on the prediction market Polymarket just hours before President Trump announced the capture of Maduro in January. The series of bets brought in more than $409,000 in gains, immediately triggering an internal review on the prediction market and launching a months-long insider trading investigation.
