I just saw some interesting news about Solana. Firedancer, the validator client they’ve been developing for years, was finally launched on the mainnet at the end of December. And honestly, it seems to be working quite well.
What struck me is that since the launch, it has been running stably on certain validator nodes for about 100 days now. They have already generated 50,000 blocks without major issues. That’s no small feat for a project that’s been anticipated for a long time.
After three years of development, it shows that the Solana team really took the time to do things properly. Firedancer should bring significant improvements in network performance and stability. It’s the kind of update that might go unnoticed by people who just trade, but for the network’s true users, it makes a big difference.
I’m curious to see how it will evolve in the coming months. If stability continues like this, Solana could really strengthen its position in the market with this improved infrastructure.
