CryptoWorld News reports that Intel announced first-quarter sales of $13.6 billion, a 7% year-over-year increase, beating analyst expectations by 11%. As AI companies deploy large language models and other tools operated by autonomous AI "agents," Intel's core CPU technology is experiencing a resurgence. Intel has raised its second-quarter sales forecast to between $13.8 billion and $14.8 billion, above the $13 billion predicted by analysts. Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger stated, "The next wave of AI will bring intelligence closer to end users, shifting from foundational models to reasoning, and then to agents. This shift is significantly increasing demand for Intel CPUs, chips, and advanced packaging products."
