U.S. develops Hormuz strike plans if Iran ceasefire collapses

The U.S. military is developing new operational plans for strikes on Iranian military capabilities around the Strait of Hormuz if the current ceasefire agreement with Iran collapses. The plan emphasizes “dynamic strikes” in the strait, the southern Persian Gulf, and the Gulf of Oman. Potential targets include small fast attack boats and minelaying ships. Earlier U.S. bombings were largely focused on bases farther from the waterway.
