The Prime Minister of Pakistan briefed the President of the European Council on the progress of Pakistan's diplomatic mediation.
The Office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan issued a statement on the 20th saying that Prime Minister Shehbaz of Pakistan spoke on the phone with European Council President Charles Michel, introducing the latest developments in Pakistan’s recent diplomatic mediation and efforts to promote regional peace. The statement said that during the call, both sides exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East. Michel highly praised Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional dialogue and stability, while also stating that the European Union is willing to support this process in every possible way. Both sides emphasized the need to continue pushing for de-escalation through dialogue and diplomatic means, maintain lasting regional and global security, and agreed to stay in communication on this matter.
