The second round of direct talks between Lebanon and Israel is imminent; Trump plans to attend some sessions.
Golden Finance reports that on April 24, U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to participate in some of the sessions at the White House involving the second round of direct talks between Israel and Lebanon. It is understood that Trump also plans to meet with the ambassadors of the two countries after they arrive in the United States. At the time of this second round of talks, Lebanon’s ten-day ceasefire agreement is set to expire. Israel’s U.S. ambassador, Yehiel Leiter, and Lebanon’s U.S. ambassador, Nada Hamad Muaawad, attended the talks. U.S. Secretary of State Rubio is expected to take part in some of the meetings. In addition, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michelle Issa, and a U.S. State Department adviser, Michael Nideum, will also attend. The first round of direct talks between Israel and Lebanon was held last week at the U.S. State Department. (CCTV News)
