Lately, watching the NFT liquidity curve, it feels more honest than the market itself: when the floor price softens, buy orders pull back like the tide going out; when royalties are tweaked, that little margin from market-making instantly turns into “What on earth am I even doing…” When the community narrative is hot, everyone says they support creators; once things cool down, people start figuring out the cost of every single transaction—pretty straightforward, honestly.
It’s a bit like a market stall fee: in peak season you’re willing to pay a bit more to secure a good spot; in the off-season you just want to save wherever possible, otherwise the pressure of inventory sitting there will break your mindset first. The same is true on-chain—liquidity migration is basically “where the people go, the stalls go.”
As for the whole “staking” and “shared security” setup that’s been getting mocked as copycat doll-stacking, I get it too. When the returns stack up across too many layers, in the end who’s there to catch the fall depends on sentiment. Anyway, I care more right now about trading depth and the distribution of holders. You can listen to the narratives, but when placing orders, I still go by the data. For now, that’s where I stand.
