Russian Deputy Foreign Minister demands the U.S. end the illegal blockade against Cuba
On April 3, local time, it was reported that Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov commented on the situation in Cuba, saying that Russia demands the United States to end its illegal blockade of Cuba and ensure the country’s security. Ryabkov said the U.S. is trying to achieve its goals through the blockade, but this will not succeed. The U.S. should not forget the consequences that disregarding international law and the interests of other countries may bring. Ryabkov said that the agreement reached during the Cuban missile crisis still has legal significance to this day, and the U.S. should not repeat the same mistakes. Russia and Cuba have a shared history and a tradition of mutual support, and Russia will continue to adhere to this line during the current difficult phase. Ryabkov pointed out that the U.S. denies the fundamental basis for the operation of the international system with its own double standards, and the international relations system is facing enormous pressure because of destructive actions by the U.S. and other governments. The world is currently in a period of high conflict, but the trend toward multipolarity is irreversible. Any attempt to deny the laws of history by force or other means will ultimately prove its own failure. ( CCTV News )
