Rupiah Hits 17,315 as Indian Rupee Falls Back to 94.08 Against US Dollar

The Indonesian rupiah fell to 17,315 against the US dollar, while the Indian rupee weakened to 94.08. The Reserve Bank of India had earlier capped bank bets against the rupee at $100 million and pushed banks to liquidate US dollar holdings before April 10. Bank of Indonesia said it would take all necessary measures to stabilize the rupiah.
